All-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m., for instance, allow people to indulge in the rich, savoury flavours of authentic Italian cooking straight from Mamma’s kitchen. Smothered with homemade pasta sauce and plump, perfectly seasoned meatballs, and accompanied by a side salad and roll, this weekly $10.99 special gives credence to Marconi’s commitment to offer ‘the best prices in town.’
Daily lunch specials from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. are equally enticing, presenting patrons with favourites like chicken parmesan with a side of spaghetti, chicken wings and fresh cut fries, Marconi’s signature double “Ital” combo with fries, and pasta of the day with a side salad, all on select days for only $6.99.
“Our Ital Burg is truly One-of-a-Kind, it’s our signature burg that can not be found anywhere else,” noted Marco Palombi, who owns and operates Marconi’s Diner with wife Michelle. The Ital burger can be ordered with one or two patties that are generously topped with “Mamma” Maria’s original tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese and fried mushrooms.
“Almost everything we do here is made from scratch,” added Michelle while noting that fresh, homemade pasta dishes such as lasagna, fettuccini and meatballs, ravioli and meatballs, tortellini and meatballs, penne with meatballs, chicken, veal or meatball parmesan are as popular with eat-in guests as they are with customers who want to add something special to their catered events.
In fact, people can pre-order fresh pasta and lasagna trays one to two days in advance when they need a break from cooking during a hectic week. These delicious meals, which can feed 18 to 21 people, or nine to 12 people, can be enjoyed right away or placed in the freezer to enjoy later.
Other menu favourites include jumbo buffalo wings that are spiced to order, fish and chips, chicken fingers, and classic sandwiches such as toasted westerns, grilled cheese and BLT’s. Delicious all-day breakfasts range from three-egg omelettes with a variety of fillings to fluffy pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, ham and eggs served with Marconi’s perfectly seasoned baked home fries.
While menu selections can be ordered for catered events, Marconi’s Diner won’t limit people to items on the menu. “We will do anything that people request and happily accommodate special orders,” said Marco.
