Owned and operated by brothers Gus and George Iliopoulos this century-old schoolhouse, once known as the Moyle School Section 13, presents diners with fabulous menu selections that appeal to every taste, every budget and every occasion; whether they’re in the mood for fine dining, or just want to enjoy a light lunch or family dinner.
The Olde School’s historic surroundings delight families who simply want to enjoy quality time as they savour perfectly seasoned Sunday brunch selections, the ambience puts couples at ease as they dine on chef’s luncheon and dinner features and the five themed private rooms that can seat 12 to 90 guests help create fabulous memories for special events and corporate gatherings.
The Olde School Restaurant and Piano Bar even played host to Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II in 1997 at a special eight-seat table built just for the occasion that has a permanent place in front of the fireplace in the Moyle Room. And today the restaurant serves as a wedding venue for many couples that have joined together in marriage in Wedding Chapel 13.
The addition of an elevator makes it fully handicapped accessible and customized wedding and special event packages suit all palates and budgets.
To further enhance peoples’ dining experience John Sweeney tickles the ivories of the baby grand piano during Sunday brunch while John Moorhouse works his magic at the piano every Tuesday through Sunday nights.
